This year for the annual Pasadena Showcase House and Garden Tour, my team and I transformed one of the 25 spaces into a modern-day Morrocan inspired oasis. Sunday marks the first day of the tour so get your tickets here and get ready to be amazed at all the historical architechture, interior design and 8 gardens (oh yes, I said 8 gardens).

Who: Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts

What: Tour highlights architech, Paul R. William's designs that boast Old World charm and masterful detail. The estate features a 7,200SF + home, 1,800SF guest house, 8 gardens, tennis court, oversized swimming pool and accompanying pool house on 4.5 acres.

We pride ourselves on being the Queens of Weekend Getaways– especially from Los Angeles where we have both lived for several years– so we are hard pressed to hear of somewhere fantastic we haven’t already been. Until last week. Scrambling to find a luxe yet fun and somewhat affordable hotel in a beach town south of LA for a mini-celebration for one of our friends who is a bride to be, we stumbled upon L’Auberge Del Mar. It looked beautiful, chic and vibrant but we didn’t know much about Del Mar, aside from the fact that a race track is located there — which at the time was not a major selling point…
